A federal judge on Thursday rejected Citigroup Inc's bid for
a preliminary injunction halting AT&T Inc from the use of the phrase
"AT&T thank you" on a consumer loyalty application, which the
bank said was too just like its trademarked "thankyou."
U.S. District judge Katherine Forrest in manhattan said
Citigroup had no longer shown it might suffer irreparable damage if AT&T
persisted using "AT&T thanks" even as the litigation persevered.
She also stated AT&T supplied solid evidence that
forcing it to stop saying "AT&T thank you" would purpose an
"expensive and great disruption."
