VW HR leader says expects 5-digit number of job cuts



BERLIN/FRANKFURT Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) expects the shift to electric powered vehicles to fee a five-digit range of jobs in coming years, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper mentioned, citing the carmaker's human assets chief.
Karlheinz Blessing, who sits on VW group's nine-member top management board, stated the carmaker will want to cut jobs in production as meeting of electrical engines requires fewer employees than making combustion engines, the newspaper said, bringing up an interview to be published in Saturday's version.
